People spend an average of 145 minutes per day on social media, according to Statista. Yep, over two hours of our day is spent scrolling social sites like Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. In large part, these sites have become an intrinsic part of our lives, further blending the physical and digital worlds into one. Social media IS the internet these days, and the ways in which we interact with it are becoming second nature to us. Every little detail of these platforms is carefully and thoughtfully designed to draw us in, engage us, entertain us, elicit emotion, and keep us coming back. The engineers and designers at these companies know a thing or two about capturing attention and generating engagement. 

Today, we are rolling out our new Live Poll ad format. Bringing the best of social to high-impact ad experiences by using emotions and playful interactions to connect to consumers. Human discovery, playfulness and curiosity come to life in Live Polls. 

Live Poll incorporates polling functionality, similar to the popular “Poll” feature available on Instagram stories, into an ad unit. It is a dynamic, consumer-driven experience where we can give consumers the content that is most appealing to them based on the Live Poll answer they provide. For example, in this Live Poll ad, consumers have the option of voting on their fav pajamas for the fam - either patterned flannel or printed thermal. Based on the option they select, we will dynamically serve up the relevant products. If they chose patterned flannel, we will showcase a product carousel of flannel pajamas with the option to shop now. And vice versa. Live Poll also reveals how other consumers are responding to the poll in real-time via our proprietary API integration.  

Live Poll joins our existing suite of social-like formats to give you the best of social interactions to enhance your brand story:

Live Poll - A poll question leads to dynamic content/product outcomes based on how the consumer answers the poll.

Squad Stories - Brand storytelling through multiple full-screen slides. Interactive bubbles at the top of the unit allow the consumer to explore the various slides of content. 

Emoji Slider - This interactive element allows consumers to engage with the ad and express their sentiment for the messaging in real-time.

Augmented Reality - Leverages the camera functionality of a device to allow consumers to virtually try on or explore a product further. 

From exploring the world in a new way with Augmented Reality, to expressing yourself with emojis, to contributing to the conversation with polling questions - social interactions are impactful.
