In 2021, Aidells and Mindshare challenged PadSquad to develop a creative solution that would break through the clutter and bring inspiration to (stuck at) home chefs. They were looking for a way to drive awareness of their smoked sausage products by spicing up customers' weekly menus.

Our Objective

Armed with only static image files, PadSquad was challenged to spice up the campaign with a memorable and exciting rich media experience capable of telling Chef Bruce Aidells’ story while also impacting sales.

The Creative

The PadSquad creative team developed a beautiful Slide to Reveal format that gave the audience a playful before and after ad experience that showcased how to spice up their meals with the addition of Aidells sausages. This uniquely engaging Slide to Reveal format was carefully targeted to home cooks and ran within contextually relevant recipe, meal prep and home entertaining content, with a particular focus on recipes and meals that reimagine traditional meals.

In the brief 90 day period, PadSquad was able to greatly surpass the original benchmarks laid out at the beginning of the campaign! With an engagement rate nearly 6x PadSquad’s benchmark and viewability 29% higher than Aidells’ goal, the innovative Slide to Reveal format proved to be the best ad experience in successfully delivering against campaign objectives.
